Skipper Elekwachi's notable credits include"Thriller"(Netflix) "Straight Outta Oakland", "Licks"-which was nominated for several awards at SXSW. A native of San Francisico's Hunter's  point, at a very young age he began pouring his energy into sports and acting as a way of escaping the hostility in his community.

​

His first foray into acting came when he studied with the American Conservatory Theater and his various sports pursuits lead to playing arena football as well as an invitation to try out  for the 49ers. Skipper has a degree in Kinesiology from Concordia University Saint Paul, Minnesota and has continued his acting studies in Los Angeles with Diana Castle, Ivana Chubbeck, Margie Habber studios, and Second city.
